I have a strong background in branding and direct mail premium products as well as promotional marketing. I have newly acquired skills in UX and have been able to apply my 20 years of experience using design principles to my UX projects. Right out of college I started in the direct mail industry developing creative fundraising packages for non-profits and have been doing it ever since. Additionally I take on freelance projects for a variety of small businesses and also design promotional materials and marketing collateral for the gym where I am also a fitness coach.
I am naturally empathetic and inclusive and I'm always trying to make things easier and better for everyone. I’m especially good at iterating and tweaking designs to get the design ‘just right’ for end user(s)/clients. I am keenly aware that there are many different devices and interfaces but I am passionate about making them intuitive and accessible for all. I hope to learn and grow my design skills so that I can further my impact on society by improving their interactions with technology and it’s various interfaces.
When I'm not working I enjoy running and signing up for various races with my youngest sister and hope to eventually run a marathon in every state in the US (so far, we've got 4 states). I love going to the gym, where I get my 5am "Fight Fit" workout done every day (or coaching class!) and see the friends I've made there. I have a husband of 20 years, 3 daughters (2 in college and 1 in high school) and 3 dogs. My youngest dog I've trained to be my running partner and I hope to get her run a half marathon with me one day. I'm generally a pretty active person that loves to get outside and avoid cleaning my house, and as many of us do, I love to fill my time with family or friends and activities because I want to live a vibrant life and they bring me joy!

I'm a creative professional with 19 years of visual design experience in branding, marketing collateral, stationery, and promotional products. I have extensive knowledge designing direct mail premiums for non-profit organizations. I am also experienced with wireframing, prototyping, usability studies, user research, empathy maps, user flows, personas and user journey maps and taking a human-centered approach to ideating user experiences. I have always been eager to tackle any challenge, quick to learn new skills and happy to wear multiple hats. I'm passionate about engaging people with creative solutions in various mediums.
